Kuwait Airways took delivery of its first Airbus A320neo aircraft. Kuwait's national carrier has ordered 15 A320neos in total.

The first three new Airbus A320neo aircraft were originally scheduled to be delivered in March 2019, but deliveries were delayed until later in the year.

In addition to the Airbus A320neo, Kuwait Airways has ongoing orders for five Airbus A350-900s. In addition, the airline is one of the few customers of the A330-800neo, the smallest version of the A330neo.

The carrier's current fleet consists of Airbus A320ceo, A330-200 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Kuwait Airways plans to phase out some of its A320ceo leased aircraft, which are currently part of the fleet. Three of the company's A320ceo, all over the age of 28, have already been warehoused and should be replaced by three new A320neo aircraft. However, due to delays in delivery of the A320neo aircraft, the carrier operated temporarily with a smaller fleet.
