Kyle Kuzma’s only concern besides André Drummond

The Los Angeles Lakers have just acquired another key piece for their attempt to defend their 2020 NBA title on behalf of Andre Drummond and Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma is concerned. After learning that the team signed the reigning league rebound champion, Kuzma expressed concern for the rest of the league over the rebound. And also, Drummond could steal boards from Kuz, who has made his best Moses Malone impression on glass lately.

“I have someone to fight with on the boards,” Kuzma said (via Michael Corvo of ClutchPoints).

Kuzma added that between himself, Drummond, Anthony Davis and Lebron James, it will be quite difficult for the other teams to clean the glass in the future. And, looking at the numbers, he’s not wrong.

Drummond, who was recently bought out by the Cleveland Cavaliers, brings his rebounding prowess to Staples Center. He’s a four-time rebound leader, including three in the past three NBA seasons. Before being shut down midway through contract negotiation, the 27-year-old was averaging 13.5 goals per game and is set to lead the league in rebounds again once he is officially activated by the Purple & Gold.

Kuzma holds her own, too, when it comes to rebounding. The 25-year-old averages a career-high 6.8 goals per game and has been one of the best rebounders for the Lakers, especially with AD and LeBron running out of time.

Those four targets average 36.6 targets per game, which is indeed a scary sight for the rest of the league.
