Each rookie has a period of adjustment in the NFL, but quarterback Kyler Murray of the Arizona Cardinals pushed things to the extreme during his first workout.

For Josh Weinfuss, of ESPN.com, Murray ended up limping on Friday because he was wearing the wrong pair of crampons on the ground.

"My feet hurt me a bit," he says. "I have not been wearing cleats for a long time, I'm running, and the cleated shoes were pretty new."

Before Arizona fans panicked because the new quarterback of the franchise is already hurting, Murray said he felt "pretty good" in addition to having foot pain.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said the Cardinals were trying to get the good crampons for Murray before they train again Saturday.

The Cardinals have invested a lot in Murray as the new face of their franchise. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner was selected first in the NFL draft in 2019 and is responsible for giving Arizona back its place of choice. The Cardinals have missed the playoffs in the last three years.
