Kylian Mbappe, Jurgen Klopp and £ 176.8million truth about Liverpool transfer

Paris Saint-Germain could sell Kylian Mbappe before the transfer window closes as the 22-year-old has turned down contract offers, according to reports in France.

The Frenchman’s current deal expires next summer and the club stand to lose him for free, which could prompt them to part ways with him next week.

Real Madrid, who have been heavily linked with a move for Mbappe for several years, are the club pushing for a transfer with an announced € 160million offer made this week.

News of the bid came after rumors that an anonymous club in England had shown concrete interest in the player.

Despite widespread speculation about the English club’s identity, the numbers involved in any potential deal for Mbappe suggest there is “absolutely no chance” Liverpool could afford the player, as Jurgen Klopp told the journalists last year.

Liverpool could be set to repeat £ 23million transfer trick twice this summer

Liverpool could repeat a previous move this summer after Ben Davies and Ben Woodburn both left the club on loan.

Since both see their first-team chances limited, selling the duo now would mean little profit could be made.

Ahead of Rhian Brewster’s £ 23million move to Sheffield United last summer, the 21-year-old had spent a season with Swansea City and impressed during his time at Liberty Stadium.

Davies recently joined Brewster at Sheffield United on a one-season loan, while Woodburn moved to Scotland to join Hearts for the remainder of the season.

By loaning the players out now, the Reds might not get back the £ 23million they set aside for Brewster, but they will certainly get more than they would this summer if the pair impressed at their respective clubs.

Minutes would have been scarce for Davies and Woodburn and Michael Edwards seems to be repeating a smart move.
