A visit to Houston from reality TV star Kylie Jenner and Houston-native-slash-rapper Travis Scott would generally be welcomed. However, the two are facing backlash for their release to the Houston Zoo this weekend.

The couple took their three-year-old daughter Stormi on a VIP tour of the zoo on Sunday, annoying some local visitors.

In an interview with KPRC 2 Houston, Crystal Stemberger, who was also at the zoo with her three-year-old daughter Cadence, said she couldn’t get on the popular carousel because the famous family kicked off everybody.

“We go to the carousel because that’s what she prefers to do,” Stemberger told KPRC 2. “She does it every time we’re there. We scanned her ticket, she maybe stood in line. being two people or three people about to get on the carousel and then they emptied the whole place.

Stemberger told KPRC she tried again later, but the carousel was again shut down.

“Twelve children were in line the first time, maybe 14 the second time, because it had just reopened,” she said. “Weren’t they as important as this family?” It doesn’t make sense to me.

In a statement to KPRC, the Houston Zoo said it closed the carousel for special guests twice for 30 minutes each Sunday, and apologized for any inconvenience caused to other guests.

Social media, however, reacted quickly with equally angry accounts.

In a tweet, user @ bitfs said, “@ Kylie Jenner is just a sad fist, but your security cleared the carousel queue at the Houston Zoo twice today after people paid. . At noon and again at 12:40. Our 3 year old was in line both times. We had to leave for her nap, so no carousel for her today.

Some users shared excitation during the visit and even lamented miss seeing the famous family. Others shared photos of the family driving a golf cart during the tour.

The couple documented their visit, which included a stop at Shipley’s Do-Nuts, on their respective Instagram Stories. The couple recently announced that they are expecting a second child.

Note for future family trips: Avoid the Houston Zoo carousel.
