Kylie Rae Harris, a single mom from north Texas and rising country music star, died in a car accident near Taos, New Mexico, confirmed her director at CBS News. She was 30 years old.

Harris was one of two people killed in the three-car accident, said the Taos County Sheriff's Office to the Associated Press. The other fatality was a 16 year old girl. Authorities did not publish the names of other people involved in the accident. The sheriff 's office also told the AP that alcohol was suspected to be the cause of the accident, but did not disclose any other details.

Harris tweeted Wednesday night, she was running out of gas. "The fuel distance is 46 km and I'm 36 km from the nearest petrol station.Baby baby Jesus, do not let me fail at NM," she wrote. She was scheduled to perform at Michael Hearne's Big Barn Dance Music Festival in Taos. When singer Zac Williamson replied to her "see you tomorrow my friend" she answered "I can not wait!"

She also posted an emotional video message on her Instagram account a few hours before the crash. "I'm messy, because I cried," she says. "Everything is fine though, it's a good cry."

Although she said she liked the music festival, she explained that going to Taos was difficult because many of her family members were dead.

"Literally, everyone who was here died, except my uncle, including my father," she said.
