Kylie Swim’s TikTok Reviews Are In

Kylie Jenner announced Kylie Swim in mid-August, and despite the line going on sale in late summer, the one-pieces sold out immediately and are still out of stock. (Sarongs start at $ 40 and the swimwear line-up, with the highest-end reaching $ 85.) But this week, as shoppers received their swimsuits in the mail, reactions mounted online.

Some customers were not happy with the quality of the costumes. A number of review videos posted under the hashtag #kylieswim on TikTok have shown the sheer nature of the fabric. One video suggested wearing nipple covers under the jumpsuit, and others showed how the logo on the inside was visible across the room. One person showed the seams come off and a Tiktoker commented, “Looks like Stormi sewed this together.”

The videos also talked about the skimpy design, pointing out that it is not accessible to many bodies, although it is marketed for all sizes.

But the response hasn’t been entirely negative: there are also some positive reviews on TikTok. A video praised the “Cut It Out” ombre swimsuit for its approved fit for small and large breasts, it also said the fit was “approved for hot girls.”

This isn’t the first time Kylie has received backlash from a commercial launch. In 2019, Kylie Skin’s Nut Face Scrub featured nutshell powder, a controversial ingredient that some say removes the skin barrier. The product remains on its site.

Kylie has yet to respond to Cut’s request for comment.
