Kyrie Irving may join Nets for home practices

At least part of the Nets’ Kyrie Irving headache is behind them.

On Friday, New York determined that the HSS Training Center, the training facility for the Brooklyn Nets, is a private office building, according to The Athletic. This means Kyrie Irving can train at home despite her unvaccinated status.

Nets coach Steve Nash said he was hopeful Irving would join the squad for practice on Saturday, but could not confirm that would happen.

“It’s positive to be able to welcome him back into the building and have him be part of the team… Sounds like good news,” Nash told media on Friday.

Barclays Center, however, remains a different story.

Irving is still not allowed to prepare for games on the Nets field – or at the Garden against the Knicks – due to the city’s vaccination warrants.

He does not yet have to gear up for a preseason game and could miss up to 43 games and receive a salary of $ 381,000 per absence, if he remains ineligible.
