Lady Bears wins her third national title in the history of the program

TAMPA, Fla. (KWTX) Chloe Jackson scored the winning goal with 3.9 seconds and the Baylor Lady Bears resisted Notre Dame Fighting Irish 82-81 in the NCAA tournament championship game.

Lauren Cox left the game late in the third quarter due to a knee injury, but Baylor (37-1) held on for the third championship in her history.

Cox, the best defensive player of the year, had eight points, eight rebounds and three blocks at the time of her release.

Jackson led Baylor with 26 points, the highest of the season, while Kalani Brown had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Arike Ogunbowale scored the highest point of the match with 31 points for the Irish.
