Lady Gaga leaves the 2019 gala – and she already nails the theme of "camp"

Wheels up! Lady Gagais heading to New York in anticipation of Met Gala 2019.

After almost two months of absence, the pop star made her long awaited return on Instagram Friday night when she posted a snapshot of herself en route to the Big Apple.

"We met the gala." The camp's destination "is delighted to co-chair Anna's event," Gaga writes on social media.

She, beside Vogue chief editor Anna Wintour, Harry Styles, Serena Williams and creative director of Gucci Alessandro Michele will be the co-hosts of this year's annual evening, which serves as a fundraiser for the Museum's Costume Institute.

And Gaga already channels his inner connoisseur of the "camp", dressing in particular the 90's grunge with a flannel tied around the waist and Dr. Martens' combat boots. The final touch? A pair of badly shaved legs, of course.

"I did not shave my legs for 4 days, which really complements the look," said singer "Born This Way" subtitled the photo opp.

The set comes in fact from the Marc Jacobs Resort 2019 collection, which brings together some fashion fanatics, who could theoretically wear a bespoke set of designer's on Monday.

The Oscar winner has attended the Met Gala twice over the years, first as a Alexander Wangdates from 2015 and the following year with Versace.
