The federal government is investigating whether Lady Gaga’s dog removal was politically motivated since she sang at President Joe Biden’s inauguration, according to a report.

The FBI is working on the case with Los Angeles Police detectives, The Sun reported.

“Lady Gaga is of course very high profile, but she sang during President Biden’s inauguration which takes this matter to another level,” a source told the newspaper. “The FBI wants to know exactly what prompted this incident.”

An FBI spokesperson referred The Sun to the LAPD, which is investigating the dognapping, in which the singer’s dog walker was shot in the chest.

The representative noted that “the office provides resources on demand to our local partners,” according to The Sun, who said they contacted the LAPD.

The outlet said that although federal authorities were involved, investigators are assuming that the attack by the gunman – who fled with two of the pop megastar’s beloved French Bulldogs – was a simple armed robbery.

Lady Gaga offered a reward of $ 500,000 for the return of her doggies.

Small dogs of the popular breed can fetch between $ 1,500 and $ 5,000 in some circles, Brandi Hunter, vice president of public relations for the American Kennel Club, told the Post.

Dog walker Ryan Fischer was walking along North Sierra Bonita Avenue with Gaga’s dogs – Gustav, Koji and Miss Asia – around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday, when a four-door sedan pulled up and two men attacked, police said.

When Fischer got into a fight, one of the men shot him once with a semi-automatic handgun, and the duo fled with Gustav and Koji.

Fischer is “happily recovering well” at a local hospital, a source close to the incident told The Post.

Neighboring resident Buck Angel, who called 911, told The Sun that “the location where the attack occurred cannot be a coincidence,” adding that the area where it occurred was not has “no witnesses living there” and that it “has been empty for five years.”

“They had to choose this location to carry out the attack, and these dogs were targeted for ransom, it had to be,” he told the outlet. “They must have wanted to blackmail Lady Gaga for money.”

Angel added that he believed Fischer was dead.

“When they [police] When I got there, I went out and saw my neighbor across the street rescuing the man who had been shot, ”he said. “He understood his chest, trying to stop the bleeding. He was saving his life.

“I actually thought he was dead. He was shot once, I believe, even though there were two shots, ”Angel added. “The injured guy said to our neighbor as he was compressing the wound, ‘These were Lady Gaga’s dogs – that’s how we found out.’

The Post contacted the FBI.
