According to many reports, Tennessee is separated from women's basketball coach Holly Warlick after seven seasons.

Jeff Goodman, an academic basketball analyst at Stadium, was the first to report the move. A source then confirmed the departure of the Times Free Press.

Warlick finished 172-67 with the Lady Volunteers, winning the Southeastern Conference in 2013 and 2015. She has qualified for the NCAA tournament in her seven seasons, then in Elite Eight in 2013, 2015 and 2016.

His last season ended on a 19-13 record and a first-round defeat against UCLA in the NCAA tournament. It was a tainted season of negativity, with a series of six losses and the first home defeat of the school's history against Vanderbilt in the regular season home final.

Warlick was an assistant to Pat Summitt and was one of 949 of 1,098 wins won by Summitt. She was also the first American in Tennessee history, winning this honor three times while setting several school records.

"I was part of this program," Warlick said after UCLA's defeat. "I played here, I obviously coached with Coach Summitt and was a head coach, I only want my passion for the program, the passion for the game to remember, I think it's a great game. I coach or not – I would send it to the University of Tennessee because they care about women.

"That's what you want: you want a woman to have that chance to succeed."

Louisville coach Jeff Walz was tied to work yesterday.
