Dr. John Head has been appointed Vice President of Enrollment and Student Experience Management at LaGrange College.

In this role, Head will provide leadership for the enrollment and student engagement desks as he focuses his efforts on recruitment and retention.

He comes to the post after more than three decades of working in higher education enrollment and student affairs at public and private institutions, according to university president Susanna Baxter.

“John brings to LaGrange a multitude of successful enrollment growth experiences,” she said in a press release.

“He’s used to working creatively and effectively to have an impact on both recruiting and retention. He will be able to make a difference quickly on our campus and will be a wonderful addition to our team. ”

Head has seen enrollment growth at several institutions, most recently at Gordon State College in Barnesville, Georgia; Loyola University in New Orleans; and the University of West Georgia at Carrollton.

“I am touched and honored to join Dr. Baxter and his team at LaGrange College,” he said.

“LaGrange has a long history of educating the whole person, helping students understand that we all have a responsibility to work to help others. He also has an excellent academic reputation, and I look forward to serving alongside the college’s many talented faculty, staff and alumni. We are living in unprecedented times and the kind of education LaGrange College offers students is needed more than ever. I am very excited to help the college bring this education to more students.
