Lana Condor on Mental Health and All the Boys

We know you liked To all the boys that I’ve loved before.

“[The movie] was received much better than I ever imagined in my wildest dreams, ”Condor explained.

The film’s success also coincided with its set time on the SyFy TV series. Deadly class – and Condor said she felt overloaded as a result.

“I was just saying yes to everything because it’s a unique opportunity,” Condor said, “and you want to take advantage of it, and you want to feel like you embrace everything fully.”

The result, Condor said, is that she “never felt so bad mentally. I was so exhausted.”

“I was coming home at night and couldn’t speak. I couldn’t eat. I was unable to sleep. I would shake to go to bed and shake myself when waking up because it was so stimulating.

Eventually, Condor approached his team to let them know how she was feeling: “I had this moment where I was just in tears, telling them that I wasn’t feeling well. And they were all shocked because I was not open about my No one knew. When I had this conversation with them it was like a new beginning. Now I know the power to share that.

“My mom and dad are so supportive of me,” she continued. “We had conversations about ‘Lana, you have to stop. You are clearly unhappy. … [And I said,] “OK, let’s find out the root of this. My parents were an excellent sounding board.

Condor’s boyfriend Anthony de la Torre also provided emotional support: “He’s so good at communicating, and he really wants to know how I’m feeling and what’s going on in my head, what [makes me] feeling so loved and cared for.
