According to Us Weekly, the former N * SYNC frontman has expressed his support for Spears amid his continued struggle for guardianship in an upcoming episode of the The world of Heather Dubrow Podcast.

“I haven’t spoken to him in years,” he told Dubrow after saying he “definitely” supports Spears. “We’ve been away from each other for quite a while.”

“I don’t know exactly what she needs but I know she, for me – [from] what I see – is sane enough to choose his own people.

“I think she must be far from her father,” Bass continued. “She has to choose her own people to run this guardianship, if she even needs it, especially when she chooses her lawyer.”

“For me there is a bigger picture here… The main thing that concerns me is the justice systems and this judge. If that’s really true then we have to look at this judge, right? Because that means they’re ‘I don’t know, it’s scary.

Lance isn’t the first ex-boy band to talk about Britney recently. AJ McLean of Backstreet Boys recently called his guardianship “crazy” and detailed an interaction he has had with her in recent years.

“The last time I saw her it broke my heart,” he said. “The last time I saw her she was with a gentleman. I guess it was security or maybe a driver… there is nothing she can do.”

“In my opinion, that could be what they’re keeping her, which is just plain insane. It’s not fair, and I don’t think it’s fair.”
