Lance Reddick is now a Destiny Memes double

Lance Reddick is a famous actor, with major roles in Thread and John wick, among others. He is also the voice of destinyCommander Zavala, and apparently not above fan requests to voice the memes they send him.

That’s what he did yesterday when destiny xMechanizex player sent him a meme taken from the Season of the Chosen opening scene, which uploaded earlier this week. In it, Cabal Empress Caiatl tells Reddick’s character Zavala to bend the knee by agreeing to an alliance against their common enemies. Zavala declines and they go their separate ways, triggering the game’s latest round of alien bleeding.

This led some players to joke that Zavala should have come in and reminded the Empress how many times players have collectively kicked the Cabal’s buttocks in the past. Big Flaws have become a hard sell in a game of cultivating them ad nauseum for some cool loot. And so a new destiny meme was born, then immortalized thanks to Reddick’s completely serious performance:
