Microsoft is organizing a big event on October 2, during which the company is expected to introduce a new Surface line. One of the new core products of the new Surface range is expected to be the next generation Surface Laptop. And while there have not been many leaks on the new Surface 3 laptop, there are some interesting new details.
According to people at WinFuture, which are usually very accurate, Microsoft will launch a new 15-inch variant of the Surface Laptop 3. The new 15-inch variant will likely coexist with the 13.5-inch variant of the device. According to the details found in the database of some European retailers, there are apparently three different models for the 15 inch Laptop Surface 3.
The Microsoft Laptop 3 should also be powered by AMD chips this year, as noted earlier. WinFuture confirmed that the three models of the 15-inch Surface 3 laptop are powered by AMD, although the processors used in these models are not clearly defined. What would be interesting, however, would be that Microsoft decides to stick to Intel for the smaller 13.5-inch version of the device. It is unclear whether Microsoft plans to keep Intel chips on the new Surface 3 laptop, although it is almost entirely possible for Microsoft to sell both the AMD and Intel models of Surface Laptop 3.
