California Republican gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder dismissed column calling him “the black face of white supremacy” as normal because liberals are “scared to death” that he can actually take state control.

The Los Angeles Times ran a column on Friday entitled “Column: Larry Elder is the black face of white supremacy. You’ve been warned,” which accused the Republican of using “overly simplistic arguments that whitewash the complex issues that accompany the Black in America. ” LA Times columnist Erika D. Smith said Elder uses “toddler-like slurs and name-calling from his ideological enemies” before demeaning the gubernatorial candidate with his own slurs.

“I’ve learned that it’s often best to ignore people like Elder. People who are, as my father said, ‘family’ but not necessarily close,” she wrote. before trying to insult Elder as a “Trump fanboy.” “dangerous”, a “troll” and hinted that he does not understand critical race theory.

“His candidacy seems personal. Like an insult to Blackness,” the Times columnist wrote.

Fox News host Sean Hannity called the column “disgusting” and invited Elder to respond directly to it on Friday’s episode of “Hannity.”

“I expected this to happen. That’s why a lot of people don’t go into politics because of the politics of personal destruction,” Elder said.

“This isn’t the first time the LA Times has attacked me, there’s another writer who almost called me Black David Duke,” Elder continued. “They are scared to death.”

Many observers have noticed that the left’s attacks on Elder appear to be increasing as he scores well in the polls. A right-wing Twitter account even shared a variety of recent headlines on the Los Angeles Liberal newspaper’s Elder.

Elder did not immediately respond to a request for further comment.

Elder was attacked from the left for a series of allegations he denied. Among them, Elder strongly denied his former fiancée’s claim that he wielded a gun during an argument the two had in 2015.
