Larry King is out of the intensive care unit after being hospitalized with COVID-19 for more than 10 days, according to reports.
The broadcast legend, 87, was reportedly moved from the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Sunday.
He is believed to have caught the virus from a health worker visiting his home, a source told NBC. One of her sons, who has not been named, has also tested positive, they said.
King’s advanced age and poor health are cause for concern and place him at high risk. He had many health problems and suffered from a heart attack, prostate and lung cancer, and type 2 diabetes.

Last year, King lost two of his five children within weeks of each other. Her son Andy King died of a heart attack at age 65 in August and daughter Chaia King died of lung cancer at age 51 in July, Larry King said in a statement.

King and his wife are still legally married and are said to be on good terms despite being divorced.
In August 2019, Larry filed for divorce from Shawn just five months after suffering a stroke.

Last month it became known that King had agreed to pay his ex-wife Shawn $ 20,000 in a lump sum, plus $ 33,000 a month in spousal support.
The monthly payment – revealed in new court documents obtained by DailyMail.com – will last at least until the couple’s next hearing in Los Angeles Superior Court, scheduled for April 29 of next year.
While $ 33,000 a month might seem like a large sum, that only covers about a third of Shawn’s monthly expenses, which she listed in court documents as just under $ 90,000.
This includes $ 25,000 per month for rent on her luxury home, $ 12,000 on clothes, $ 3,500 for groceries, $ 4,500 for “ hair, nails, pet care, and the gym. plus $ 6,300 per month for her vacation home in Provo, Utah.

Larry King Jr, born from his brief marriage to Annette Kaye, first appeared in public with his father on “Larry King Live” 11 years ago.
The TV host said at the time that he first met his son, 58, in 1994.
Larry Jr. is said to be married, a father of three and would have worked as the head of the King’s Heart Disease Foundation in California.
