With a 63-year career, Larry King has had many memorable moments behind the microphone.
The veteran broadcaster, who died on Saturday at the age of 87, has become a household name as the host of CNN’s “Larry King Live,” which recorded a record number of hours from 1985 to 2010.
When King last signed to CNN on December 16, 2010, he had appeared on more than 6,000 shows. His on-air hallmarks included his vintage RCA microphone, sense of humor, and ubiquitous suspenders.

Marlon Brando
In 1994, King interviewed the famous iconoclastic actor who was promoting his book, “Songs My Mother Taught Me”. King conducted the interview at Brando’s home and the two-time Oscar winner answered all questions about his childhood and career. The interview ended with a kiss from Brando to King.
The Beatles Reunion
The year 2007 saw The Beatles reunite for King when they appeared on the show to promote Cirque du Soleil’s new show “Love,” based on music by the legendary band. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, as well as John Lennon and George Harrison’s widows – Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison – have all made appearances. During the interview, King asked Ono what Lennon would have thought of the series. Ono replied, “I was a little worried about what John would have thought. And now I really know John would be very happy with that, yeah.

Minnelli, who made headlines with her marriage breakdown to David Guest, has been asked by King, who has married eight times, if she would consider another trip down the aisle. “Are you crazy? No I wouldn’t,” she said. She went on to say, “I have the best taste in my career and the worst taste in men. I think it might be. be because I grew up in dreamland. I don’t know. Lady Gaga
Also in 2010, Lady Gaga appeared on the show. The style icon and superstar, renowned for her revealing outfits, wore a silk shirt, tie and suspenders mimicking King’s style. Gaga asked him, “Should I call you Larry or should I call you King Larry?” During the conversation, King spoke about his fan base, but he also spoke about Lupus when his aunt died of the disease. King asked if she had tested it, to which she replied, “Lupus is in my family and it’s genetic. The truth is, I am not showing any signs, no symptoms of lupus. But I tested the limit positive for the disease. So at the moment I don’t have it, but I have to take good care of myself.
Celine Dion
In an iconic 2005 moment, Celine Dion broke down during an appearance with King. After the Hurricane Katrina tragedy, Dion came and poured out all his emotions. In tears, the singer mentioned that she had donated $ 1 million to the American Red Cross, but it was her quote “take a kayak” that was most memorable.
