Las Vegas Raiders are linked with Viking ferryman Danielle Hunter

There has been speculation that the Minnesota Vikings could end up becoming trade star Danielle Hunter and naturally the Las Vegas Raiders are connected to him.

The Raiders always seem to be connected to players who might be in the trade market and since Hunter is an elite passer, a potential fit in Las Vegas makes sense as the Raiders really need to improve their passing production. Raiders reporter Vinny Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal raised the subject of a Las Vegas pursuit of Hunter on Monday.

Hunter wouldn’t be cheap. He would likely cost at least a first-round pick and he would order a high-end contract extension. This can be difficult for the Raiders to do.

He just had surgery to repair a herniated disc in his neck and missed the entire 2020 season. However, the 26-year-old defensive end has dominated the previous two seasons – he had 14.5 sacks in 2018 and 2019.

If the Vikings decide to deal with Hunter, there will be a huge market and the Raiders will likely investigate, but it would be a monster deal in terms of salary and trade compensation.
