HENDERSON, Nevada – Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Kemah Siverand, who signed the team to a futures contract last month after spending the second half of the 2020 season on the practice squad, has been arrested early Saturday after a street racing incident in Houston, police said Monday.

Officers arrested three of the five drivers and Siverand, 24, was one of the three drivers arrested. According to the Houston Police Department, Siverand was accused of having escaped arrest after he “first stopped for the officers, then continued driving another mile before stopping”.

The Raiders did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Siverand, who was an undrafted rookie from Oklahoma State, was called off by the Seattle Seahawks in August after he was caught attempting to get a woman into the training camp hotel in the team. She wore Seahawks gear in order to disguise herself as a player.

The Raiders signed Siverand with their practice team on October 27 and a futures contract on January 5.
