It’s never too early to start speculating what the next iPhone might look like. While there are several reports and rumors regarding next year’s iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models, there are no concrete details on the design. It’s already been heard that Apple could adopt an iPhone 4-like design next year without a camera bump. However, it still remains to be seen whether the company will actually move forward. A new concept video for the iPhone 14 Pro has been shared in an effort to give us some insight into the design and other physical aspects of the device.

New iPhone 14 Pro concept imagines no notches in favor of a hole-punch camera, no camera bumps, USB-C, exciting colors

Apple’s latest iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro models launched last month and the devices have been fairly well received, especially the “Pro” models. Current flagships are powered by Apple’s A15 Bionic chip, which has been found to offer improved performance and better battery life than last year’s models. Note that the iPhone 13 Pro model’s camera bump is larger than that of the iPhone 12 series. The new iPhone 14 Pro concept video appears to show the device without any camera bumps. The video was shared by the ConceptsiPhone YouTube channel on YouTube.

As can be seen in the video, the frame of the device is roughly the same as the current models but it is at the rear and at the front that we notice major changes. The iPhone 14 Pro’s squarer design in the new concept video comes without a camera bump on the back. The camera module is covered with a single sheet of glass on the back and is reminiscent of the iPhone 4.

On the front of the device, the iPhone 14 Pro concept does not envisage a notch but a perforated screen. Note that the concept imagines the device to house Face ID. Apple could implement Face ID sensors below the screen for a more seamless viewing experience for users, but it’s unclear if Apple is actually planning to do something about it.

In addition to these two aspects, the iPhone 14 Pro concept also imagines Touch ID in the side button. To be fair, this makes more sense than an in-screen Touch ID sensor, because the whole idea is practical. The side button is where your registered finger would naturally go when trying to wake the device up. Additionally, the concept video also contemplates a 120Hz ProMotion display which is currently available on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Adding USB-C would be a welcome addition and users have been asking for an upgrade for years.

Finally, the iPhone 14 Pro concept video also shows some cool new color options like matte black, purple, blue, and more. The video has been embedded above, so be sure to watch it. That’s all there is to it, folks. Did you like the concept? What features do you expect with the iPhone 14 Pro models? Let us know in the comments section below.
