Volkswagen released the first design of the company's smallest crossover, the T-Cross, which is at a lower level than T-Roc.

Volkswagen claims to be one of the safest models in its segment.

The smallest crossover will be based on the MQB platform – the same one used by the new Polo and Seat models. T-Cross is known to be 4107mm tall (379mm shorter than the VW Tiguan), but the base of the wheel for both will be almost the same: T-Cross is 2650mm and Tiguan is only 27mm longer.

Visually new crossover will look like the latest Volkswagen models from Arteon and Touareg, while the engine lineup will consist of three and four-cylinder turbo petrol, which could be joined by a 1.6-liter diesel engine. The models of the Nissan Juke, the Citroën C4 Aircross and the Peugeot 2008 are among the smaller competitors of VW in the list of transmission.
