The Latin American Organ Days of 2018 will be held in the churches of Latgale in Latgale churches, dedicated this year to the remarkable Latvian organist, pedagogue and expert in organ design, the professor Talevalža Dekšņa.

As part of the Ninth Latgale Organ Festival, there will be eight concerts featuring the greatest Latvian musicians: Jānis Pelše, Ilze Gravele, Alpe Publishing (Deksne), Guntars Ruņģis, Jolanta Barinska, Vizma Zvaigzne, Larisa Carjkova, Jacinta Ciganoviča, Guna Kise, Baiba. Among the musicians will also be invited from abroad: Oboist, soloist of the orchestra "Moscow virtuosos" Mikhail Stanko (Russia), Poland's sophisticated flute Veronika Zavadzka-Atanasova and one of the leading Moscow organists who currently live in Latvia – Jeļena Privalova-Epstein

Special guests of the festival are one of the best performers of the European organ – Ilze and Aigars Reinis, as well as the Great Nominated Music at the award – trumpet player Janis Porietis

Traditionally, one of the concerts of the festival is their The poetry organists have been trained , in which participate the Latgale music school and high school students.

In order to make the music more enjoyable, with the video projection, the audience will be able to observe the performances of the artists nearby, feel emotions and see all the nuances of the musician's work, which usually remains behind the frame. In continuity of tradition, all interested persons are invited to become familiar with the structure of the organ and its principles of operation.

The purpose of the festival is to promote the organ culture and the Latvian organ. Latgale and Latvia can boast of a brilliant family of organs. The Latgalian Organ Days are a charitable project, the entrance to all concerts is a gift. The donations collected during this year's concerts will be devoted to the restoration of the organ of the Karsva Church
