It has already been reported that Putin and Tramps will meet on July 16 in the Finnish capital, Helsinki. The state and prospects of Russian-US relations will be discussed at the summit.

US-Russian relations deteriorated significantly after the occupation of Crimea by Ukraine. The situation has not improved either the suspicion of Russia's suffering in the US elections and the disagreement over the Syrian conflict.

Tramps, since coming to power last year, has been striving to improve relations with Russia. The last brief meeting between Putin and Trampa took place in November 2017 at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Vietnam. Tramps plans to attend the NATO summit in Brussels on July 11 and 12, but then to the UK, where he will meet Queen Elizabeth II on July 13.
