State police in the Ogre region managed to discover one of the most ambitious illegal cigarette factories to date, the information available to LNT News on Wednesday June 11, were approved by the state police.

The illicit manufacture of several brands of cigarettes was discovered a few days ago by the Office of the Economic Police of the State Police. State police announced some details about what was to open on Thursday, July 12th.

Unofficial information available at LNT News shows that the factory was in a newly renovated building that was not yet actively used. At the time of detection of an illegal factory, it contained 10 tons of tobacco, respectively, filters, paper and everything needed to produce cigarettes Marlboro and Prince. Two people were detained.

Until recently, the police regularly detect large amounts of contraband cigarettes or illicit manufacture, one of the reasons being the high price of cigarettes. They are affected by an ever greater excise tax.
