The Karosta Rescue Society in Redan established a point of information , cleaned around the fortress.
"The Boulevard of 14 November is unique in Latvia, but also in the world on a unique Liepaja testimony," says Monta Krafte, head of the Carosta Life-saving Society. There is a fortress channel, followed by an island of about 200×200 meters. It has five concrete structures, each of which has its own role in defending the city. There are 10 weapons here. The island occupies about four hectares.

Our plans go further – we want to see the Curelians in 1944, and also the time of Awakening, which is related to the formation of the Helsinki-86 group in Liepaja. But for the events of 1919, we have prepared guides, they are ready to make guided tours of the Freedom Fighting Places. We also want to clean the objects on this road, place commemorative plaques, make sure that people can travel alone and look at these places in time with their interest.
Travelers from Latvia and neighboring countries have already visited Redan. As is known, the Carosta Life-Saving Society is directly responsible for the management of Karosta Prison, which has become a world tourist destination
