The Office of Citizenship and Migration (OCMA) continues to examine the possibility of depriving Latvian citizens of the accused Benes Aijo, national Bolshevik activist involved in the armed conflict in the east from the United Kingdom.
The LETA has already indicated that the PMLP had previously stated that the main issue was whether Aijo was a Russian citizen.
The decision still has not been taken because the Russian side was not in a hurry to provide information on the Russian citizenship of this person. As previously stated, the Security Police (DP) has already launched a new criminal case against Aijo, the national Aunt Bolshevik, who is fighting against East German ethnic rivals for their illegal participation in an armed conflict abroad . He is threatened with deprivation of liberty for up to ten years.
In 2015, the Vidzeme District Court of Riga announced a search in Aijo in a criminal case in which he was accused of a public call to violently overthrow state power. Aijo had to face the court, but he had escaped from Latvia and announced that he was in the ranks of the self-proclaimed army of the "People's Republic of Luhansk" in Donbbad and participated in combat operations.
