For 15 years already, accordionist and pedagogue Zane Ludborga has been organizing an international plenary session of accordionists on the Rezekne side, inviting to play together not only young but experienced accordionists.
This year, the accordion plenary began on July 17th. The purpose of this idea is to promote the game of accordion and give young accordionists the opportunity to learn and inspire professionals.
"It helps us to work at school and also motivates children to learn accordion. The accordion itself is a very nice instrument that people like, but unfortunately there is a situation in Latvia that can be heard more often, "she says.
16 participants participate in the plenum this year. For some, this is the first outdoor experience, for others it has become the tradition of each summer. Accordionist and Plenipotentiary Andrei Kauper reveals: "It's the third time the plenary is interesting, is learning new opportunities that the accordion can emit, learn different techniques and other new skills."
Among the participants, Kirill from the Moscow Gnesin Rusinov Music Academy He plays in concert with the accordion orchestra and will be a guest conductor.

In ten days, plenere members will learn new plays and prepare for the final concert at the Latgale "Gors" Embbady, which will take place next week – July 26th.
