Cloud computing began a few years ago, with squeaky predictions about the future development of the industry, mainly because of data security issues. However, technology is growing faster than we can imagine on a daily basis, and data storage in the cloud is everyday for everyone – often we are not even aware that we are using cloud services every day. days. Whenever we use online services, such as email, movie streaming, music, game play, or file storage, it is very likely that these activities are done through the cloud.
Each step at a time, we use applications that are stored in clouds in companies, such as Microsoft Office . In addition, the size of the memory of our smartphone is not enough to store all the data you want. As a result, cloud computing continues to evolve in response to the needs and demand of the community, creating new solutions and, in particular, attacking an alarming data security issue.
Living in the 21st century is impossible. A bus ride is no longer possible without the "decompression" of social networks, listening to a streaming music app, or reading a book in an badistant. It is common practice in companies to have videoconferences via different programs designed for this purpose. Application and online listening on the websites of different reports – we no longer have to attend seminars on the site.
Every day we take videos or photos – thanks to mobile devices, everyone has become a photographer. Each smartphone contains thousands of photos.
An estimated 1.2 trillion photos were taken in mobile phones in 2017. That's a huge number.
Of course, our smart devices not only photos are stored, but also many other files, we can only imagine how much more data is stored by different companies. Therefore, to develop a practical data storage solution sooner or later
If you ask a citizen every day he uses cloud services, he may be suspicious, before the answer, because in the most cases it occurs unconsciously. Whenever large files are transferred by e-mail Google we directly use the cloud as data storage. At a time when the development of such technological solutions was announced aloud, people, as usual, have encountered something new, expressed their skepticism and concern. At the same time, technology giants were not afraid to announce that they would be investing huge amounts of cloud computing solutions because they were aware that such solutions would become routine in the near future. I would like to say that now everyone is using clouds, because it is simply impossible to completely exaggerate the abundance of data.
Of course, not only does everyone individually use clouds, but it's a practical solution. medium-sized enterprises. Cloud computing solutions are changing every day – for example, currently popular worldwide, including Latvia, the Microsoft Azure cloud computing solution focused on the storage security of data, Microsoft .
Cloud computing is growing rapidly because storing data in the cloud can be more cost-effective than buying servers or creating data centers and paying for electricity consumed by datacenters and fans required for cooling systems. Another key benefit of cloud computing is speed, which means that cloud information is available just a few clicks away. In comparison, data centers need additional software to install to work well. As a result, additional costs appear in contrast to data stored in the cloud. Of course, the costs also increase because of the need for data centers – they include shelves, cooling systems and much more. All this is extra work for IT professionals. In cloud computing, most processes are automated and resources devoted to the environment are significantly lower.
Without a doubt, cloud computing will continue to grow rapidly and these solutions will become more and more popular. The security policy, which has always been the most sensitive problem of the industry, continues to grow. It is clear that users are concerned about cybersecurity issues, because who would want to put personal data at risk. Already, much of the cloud-based solution does not jeopardize the security of stored data, regardless of the load, and security issues will and will certainly remain the ones of greatest concern to developers.
