Monday, July 23, at the age of 93, the director of sound, Gleb Koroteyev, arrived at the age of 93 years. He informed the portal "Delfi" of the Union of Latvian Filmmakers.
Gleb Koroteyev was born in Baku on June 1, 1925. Graduated from the Leningrad Film Institute in 1949, he obtained a post in Riga.
Since 1951, he has worked for Riga cinema in his entire life and directs fifty or so Latvian art films, including "Lettvian Rifleman's Story" (1958). Two of the films included in the Latvian Canon of Culture – Limousine in the Night of Midsummer (1981) and Death Shadow (1971).
There is also "Vella Kalpi" (1970), "The Sword of Shadow" (1976) Pbadion "(1983)," Two "(1965), awarded in Moscow, Cannes and other international festivals," With Rich Mist "(1969), a true masterpiece of sound recording, because the film has a synchronous sound.
