From July 27 to July 29, the third "Comet" musical and cultural festival will be held in the Daugavgriva Fortress in Bolderaja, Riga.
Agnin Leonovich is responsible for the "Pachamama Tribe" – it can be translated as "Mother Nature". He told us that Latin American music, hybrid music – on one side, electronic music, on the other – organic acoustic music will sound on this stage. Several different scenes act as interconnected villages. There will also be an acoustic scene where improvisation and acoustic performances will be known as "electronic folk dances" – sounds hauss and techno music. A movie village will also be available, where the films will be screened in full and there will be video installations, said Leonovich.
The choice of this year's comets choice, because the origins of the festival are in the idea of a sustainable and responsible festival, where all the participants, not just the guests and the consumers, are posted on the festival's home page.
The implementation of Kometa has always been based on the principles of self-organization and voluntary participation. This year's program will therefore focus on artistic and cultural processes fostering cooperation, self-organization and the emergence of new initiatives. "Spaiz", "Future Folk Orchestra" and many other local and foreign artists. Visitors are also invited to discussions and performances; The wider festival program can be found on the website.
"Comet" is an ad-free, waste-free event – for alternative people, the domestic side is very democratic.
Interestingly, you can ride and build a tent anywhere on the site, free drinking water is provided by the organizers. Like last year, the "plate library" will also work. One of the aims of the festival is to show that it is possible not to further damage the world, which is why the organizers refuse the plastic dishes. As Leonovich said, the idea of a plate library is simple: a person comes in, chooses a dish, goes to the restaurant, receives food, dishes and dishes are returned.
