A concert by father and son pianist Osokino was performed on July 26 at the Jurmala Festival in the crowded Dzintari Concert Hall. This time on the festival with a special program was conducted by his father, Professor Sergey Osokin, with his sons, the winners of international competitions and brilliant music performers Andrey and Georgy Osokin.
In the first part of the concert, the audience got to know Sergey, Andrey and Georgy Osokin as solo performers, enjoying Johan Sebastian Bach's pianos concerts in each pianist's performances, as well as pianistic surprises. In the second part of the concert, the pianists performed together, playing pieces by Sergey Rakhmaninov, Gustava Maler, Kamila Sensan, Morisa Ravel and other composers. At the end of the concert, the pianists were excited by "Melanholisko Waltz" by Emil Darzyn
We remind you that the festival will continue on July 27 with the concert "The Broadcast Music Gold Selection". On July 28, a magnificent gala concert will take place with the honorary artist of the Jurmala Festival, the tenor Aleksandrs Antoņenko, the internationally renowned Latvian opera soprano, the soprano Alisa Zinovjeva and the best Latvian bartender Egil Silins. The voices of the Latvian Radio Choir and the Jurmala Festival Orchestra under conductor Vello Pähn constitute the soundtrack. Special guest of the concert – 37th International Competition of Young Opera Singers Hans Gabor Belvedere – Tenor Sungho Kim of South Korea.
