The walk through the forest is built in accordance with the instructions of the nature protection services and the protection of the environment, as it stretches on a natural park of 1,000 meters long "Piejūra", located in the territory of Natura 2000. The municipality believes that it is the longest walk to the sea in Latvia.

The opening ceremony at 12 o'clock will begin at the end of the promenade in Laivu Street, near the bridge over Vecgauju. The event will be accompanied by a walking route, in which participants in the procession in the walking areas will wait for exams prepared by representatives of the sector of education, culture and sport of the region.

The concrete slab of the Promenade covers the concept of Liv road sign, describing a tricolor wave like the Gauja and the symbol of the coast. In the area of hard dunes, wooden palm trees are replaced, while the sea view is 4×4 meters wide before the sea level.

On the edge of the promenade, there are five recreational areas with benches, bins for bike and rubbish, but at the end of the trail, a toilet located opposite the dune area will work in summer. In addition, there is a health trail with exercise in nature and a visitor counter is also installed to see how many visitors use it, as well as to observe the seasonal intensity of visitors of the natural park and the anthropic load in the natural park.

The project, supported by the European Regional Development Fund, was implemented under the program "Construction and reconstruction of infrastructure for reducing anthropogenic load in Natura 2000 areas". The total cost of the project is 447,886 euros and the construction works were carried out by SIA "Ceļinieks 01".
