The Saeima Commission on Budget and Finance (Taxation) supported the Ministry of Finance's proposal to modify the implementation of the provisional budget to address the problem of the late adoption of the State budget. for next year.
The FM encourages the Saeima to support a solution to the changes made in the provisional budget, namely to abandon the principle that, in case of non-adoption of the budget, the monthly budgetary expenditure of the following year can not exceed twelve parts of the previous year's appropriations. Instead, it is encouraged to stipulate that budget expenditures for the next year 's budget can not exceed the expenditures of the year in question in the medium – term budget framework law.
It is expected that this bill will be discussed at the Saeima meeting on 29 November, and the committee will urge its badessment urgently.
