Unlike the Saeima elections alone, the next elections to the European Parliament next May will be able to vote both with a pbadport and with an identity card or an electronic identity card.

In elections to the European Parliament, pre-election lists are commonly used. A vote must therefore take place in a given polling station. For this reason, on May 25, you will only be able to speak with an eID card and you will not be forced to withdraw a special voter certificate.

"At the same time, we will receive opinions on the divisions that have been badigned to us, but we have the right to replace this section with any other section that suits us," said Arnis Cimdars, President of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC). .

However, next year's elections will also include news. Voting on the so-called previous days – Wednesday, Thursday or Friday – can be done in any section of Latvia.

"This upgrade, when the voter can vote not only in his own compartment but in any compartment, will give us an experience," said Cimdars.

In this way, the new system will be tested with the hope that any document in any polling station will be able to vote on the same day of elections in the next elections. Meanwhile, on the right of the elections on Saturday, it will be possible to vote for a particular ballot only for security reasons.

Saeima 's new MPs were informed of the news on Wednesday, with permanent departures abroad also scheduled for the first time in the European elections. The election organizers were criticized for organizing the polls in foreign countries.

Moreover, I am on a mission during the elections, so I am faced with the problem in which I can not vote and by myself, and I can not put myself in my mouth. We were with a dance group of 25 people, everyone wants to vote for me, but can not.

The criticism of the newly elected Saeima was also taken into account by the stamp system used by the Saeima during the election. This resulted in the removal of special elector certificates for holders of electronic identity cards without a pbadport.

Meanwhile, the head of CVK believes that voter turnout is more influenced by voter responsibility than by less electoral procedures. However, European electoral innovations increase the possibilities of participation for the active part of citizens.
