The sun of November 18 of the "Sun Life" cost nearly 100,000 euros more than what has been announced so far. It turns out that in the absence of 285,000 euros of purchase for the project, there have been others, smaller purchases that went unnoticed in the media. The city council of Riga rejects the condemnation of the real omission of the costs, underlining that nobody asked for it, reports LTV Panorama.
Those who came to fireworks, knowing their costs, were waiting for something unseen. The dishes, of course, are different, we went home satisfied, the others were disappointed by the performance.
However, it turned out that the salutary did not pay 285 000 euros (VAT), but 370 000 euros – much more. The information on the first sum came originally from journalists who studied supply contracts. 285,000 of them were only sales executives. There was 48,000 euros worth of purchases for the concept of art fires and 37,000 euros worth of estimated additional musicians. The sum of the last two contracts is too small for the law to require it to be published on the Procurement Control Office website. As a result, the amount remains unknown to the media.
The centenary office sends it to the Riga City Council
Linda Pavluta, head of LTV Panorama's holiday office, explains that the office has set up this event, but that all the estimates are required by the organizers. The 200,000 euros allocated by the state are true, but the funding part of the Riga City Council is different, that is to say not 85,000 EUR, but 170,000 EUR.
Indra Vilde, spokeswoman for the Riga City Council, explains that the media simply have not asked for more information on the estimated fireworks. Vilde says that there was a press conference on the next fireworks and on its cost, but that no reporter asked anything about the quote. The public hall also contained information on $ 285,000 as the final and total amount of the show. It was also noted that smaller purchases, which are not available on the Procurement Office website, are available on the Riga City website. But the question of why the city of Riga did not reveal the actual expenses of the artifice, Vilde replied that it was more important to explain the nature and meaning of the representation rather than its cost.
