On Tuesday, Arita Rudzite, spokeswoman of the Emergency Medical Service (NMPD), was taken to the hospital by two elderly people with a body cooling.

In one case in Riga, a 76-year-old woman fell home and could no longer stand up. The woman was dressed and lay on the floor for a long time, helpless. After several days, people fell into the apartment of a woman and called the NMPD doctors. After the help, the doctors sent the woman to the hospital.

At the same time, an 81-year-old man living in Zemgale fell home and sat on the floor for a long time. The men found helpless friends who, knowing that the man had never opened the door, rushed to them.

In total, NMPD medical staff received 910 calls last Thursday, including 147 injuries and accidents.
