Aldis Gobzems, politician of the KPV LV appointed as Prime Minister, questions the information provided by the Latvian Council of Sworn Advocates (ZAP) that one of the reasons for his exclusion from the Bar is the disclosure of secretaries of authority.
The prime minister claimed that the sworn counsel did not receive any complaints from his superiors. The complaints came from the family of the murdered insolvency administrator, Martins Bunkus, according to which Gobzem considered Bunkas a "bandit", as well as from the lawyer Romualdas Vonsovich, who had not never been appointed by Gobzeme.
"I will deal very strongly with these statements before the law, and ZAP and any board member will personally respond to what I call the concrete interests publicly and illegally.
ZAP has to respond to such allegations because it hurts the political process and me as a politician.

Of course, these matters will be the subject of litigation, including claims related to reputational damage. In the history of my plea, none of my clients, no instructor has ever filed a complaint. Only my opponents filed a complaint for me. In this case, my opponent Romualds Vonsovich and the Bunkus family, whom I considered a member and whom I considered a bandit, as well as the other members of the same group, I think and believe that they should be liable to prosecution criminal law, "said Gobzem.
CONTEXT:
Two days after the appointment of Aldis Gobzems as Prime Minister, the public learned that the Council of Sworn Advocates of Latvia had supported the dismissal of Gobzeme from the Bar. Such a decision is related to disciplinary offenses committed by Gobzeme, said the council.
The exclusion of Gobzem himself from the bar is linked to the efforts he is making to make him a prime minister.
