The mystic "Oumuamua" could have formed from comet dust – Space – Science

This theory was advanced by NASA scientists in a new, unpublished study. It is based on the observation that comets tend to disintegrate into pieces as the Sun approaches.

Oumuamua is an interstellar object that astronomers noticed in October 2017. Although this is the first interstellar object seen in our galaxy, scientists believe that there are thousands of them.

Since the emergence of the asteroid, scientists have not been able to agree on what it is: an asteroid, a comet or an extraterrestrial probe. The new study puts forward the theory that the object has changed during our short visit to our galaxy. Leaving the solar system, it was reddish, oblong and thin, but scientists believe that the "barking" of our galaxy looked different.

Although the origins and structure of the asteroid are not yet entirely clear, this could be a very reliable theory, writes Live Science.
