In the study published in the scientific journal Physics Reports, the hypothesis is that the mysterious planet could be 10 times larger than the Earth. Moreover, this planet is probably 400 times farther away from the Sun than from the Earth on the extended orbit.
According to Space, the idea of the existence of the "ninth planet" is more and more popular since the badumption of 2014.
For the existence of such a planet, researchers have been suspected of seeing a strange arrangement in the Koipera band – various small objects seeking to connect. This showed that they were subject to the gravity of a bigger object.
Since then, the arguments in favor of the existence of the planet have become stronger. For example, in a study recently published in The Astronomical Journal, scientists estimated that out of 500 different options, this planet might not exist in a single case.
Admittedly, astronomers still need a lot of evidence to say with certainty that the mysterious planet really exists.
