Fifth theatrical festival "Mask of Gold" – Scene – Culture +

The program of the festival includes five performances highly appreciated by the jury of the Russian National Theater "Golden Mask" and by the Golden Mask Latvia Festival Expert Council. Viewers will be offered a rare opportunity to watch two 2018/2019 shows. productions of the season, which had attracted the attention of the theatrical community before the creation – debut of the famous director Dmitry Krimov at the A.Shevsky Art Theater of Moscow "Serjoža" (after the motives of Lev Tolstoy "Anna Karein") and the show "Slava" First work of Bogomolov at G. Tovstonogov's Grand Drama Theater.

The "fame" in the poems, inspired by the play of the Soviet playwright Victor Gusev, will be somewhat counterbalanced by the interpretation of "Men and Wives" by the Moscow Art Theater of Bogomolov after work from Woody Alena. The Latvian public will also be able to get acquainted with the productions "No_arodskolas" and "Promise at dawn" of Pushkin's Muscovite drama theater (the latter is the only show presented this year outside Riga – but that really worth going to Rezekne, Ventspils or Liepaja).
