The program of the National Film Center "Latvian film for the Latvian century" includes 16 feature films, the first of which began in 2017 and will continue until 2019. Until the end of the year year anniversary, 14 films have already been presented and they can all be viewed again. For the first time, on December 8th, the Splendid Palace cinema will be presented in both rooms of the day. The first show in the Great Hall will start at 10:00 am and the last at 11:00 pm in the Little Hall. and at 11:15 pm in the Great Hall. One of the important future objectives to increase the contribution of the program "Latvian film for the Latvian century" is to open cinematographic films to cinematographers from other countries. The National Film Center invites film producers from other countries and cinematographers from different countries to visit the Film Center. All films will be screened with translation. In exchange, thanks to the dynamic participation in the demonstration of the cinematographic film in the regions of Latvia, the movie theater operators and the organizers of the cultural life of different regions of Latvia are invited to the projection of the kinematic marathon.
During the special screening at 6:30 pm in the Grand Gallery of the "Splendid Palace", the 16th century authors will be honored; This show will feature Homo Novus, the most popular one hundred year old movie this year, with more than 77,000 viewers.
