In Latvian industry, the average level of producer prices in June this year, compared with June 2017, increased by 4.3%, according to the Central Statistical Bureau.

Over the same period, producer prices rose by 4.8%, but for exported products – by 3.7%. Export prices to euro area countries increased by 4.1% over the period, compared with 3.4% for non-euro area countries.

The most significant impact on producer prices was observed in the manufacture of wood and cork. , gas supply, heating and air conditioning, as well as food production. At the same time, the largest downward impact was in the manufacture of chemicals and chemicals, as well as the manufacture of electrical equipment.

2018. In June, compared with May, producer prices in Latvian industry rose 1%. Prices for products sold domestically increased by 1.4% while those for exported products increased by 0.6%. For exports to euro area countries, the price level rose by 0.5% and exports to non-euro area countries by 0.6%.

Monthly changes in producer prices were influenced by higher prices. also in the manufacture of wood and wood and cork products, except furniture and metal products manufacturing, except machinery and equipment. This year, information on producer prices in the industry are provided by more than 600 companies which, for index calculations each month, publishes about 2,600 prices, of which about 1,400 in the domestic market and about 1.2 thousand for products sold in export markets and for industrial services.
