Upenieks was born in 1933. He graduated from the theater faculty of the State Conservatory of Latvia. Upenieks is one of the most prolific actors of Latvian national theater since 1957.
Farewell to the actor will take place on November 30 at 1 pm in the Great Hall of the Krematorium.
