The Presidents of the Baltic States will receive the Westphalian Peace Prize for a significant contribution to the peaceful and democratic development of the region.
The ceremony will take place on Saturday, July 14 at the historic Münster Town Hall. Latvian President Raimonds Vējonis, Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaite, Lithuanian President Dalia Grykursaite and President Frank Valters Steinmeier will be present at the prize.
The award was created in 1998 and is presented every two years to strengthen peace in Europe and around the world.
Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl and Helmut Kohl have already received the award.
The Peace Treaty of Westphalia put an end to the religious wars in Europe 370 years ago.
