This weekend, on 1 December, Carnikava will open Latvia's longest sea-covered rigid-covered promenade in Latvia, which is created under special environmental conditions, as it straddles the Piejūra Nature Park at 1,800 meters above sea level. and the portal "La.lv". The inauguration of the long-awaited object of Novadnieki's guest and the region will take place during a special event that will take place on Saturday, December 1 st. 12:00 will begin at the end of the Carnikava walk on Laivu Street – near the Vecgauju show.

The opening event will be accompanied by a walking route in which participants of the procession in the resting places of the promenade will wait for exams prepared by representatives of the fields of education , culture and sport of the region.

The new promenade is the only district in Carnikava and in Latvia the only hard floor covering is 2 km long.

The Carnikava promenade runs through the "Piejūra" nature park, located on the territory of Natura 2000. The construction of the promenade was therefore carried out in exceptional conditions, with respect for nature and in accordance with the instructions of the services of the # 39; environment.

The concrete slab of the Carnikava promenade covers the Liv signboard concept, describing the three colors (black, white, red) as the symbol of Gauja and the coast.

The wooden path replaces the hard cover in the dune area, while the wooden observation deck is 4 × 4 m ahead of the open sea.

On the edge of the promenade, there are five recreational areas with benches, bicycle bins and rubbish, as well as toilets located opposite the dune area that runs during the summer season.
