This is the 3rd edition of the International Short Film Festival of Riga, 2ANNAS. A total of 154 films are presented in ten programs, including four programs in competition, which will be judged by an international jury.
The festival takes place at the Cannabis Cultural Center, at the Splendid Palace in Cannes and at the CIA National Film School. The theme of the festival this year is that of the citizens. Its programs and film events will focus on issues of national identity, political manipulation, interaction of the individual and the state apparatus with an ironic outlook. The opening ceremony will take place on November 27 at the Splendid Palace cinema in Lāčplēsis. The film "The Lacplesis" (1930), included in the Grand Canyon of the Latvian Cultural Concert, will be screened at the concert of live music and the composer of the Latvian radio choir, Kristaps Putston.
