Today, July 20, the Printmaking In International Graphic Arts Festival is taking place in Riga. At the exhibition, works by local, Baltic and Nordic artists will be presented. The work will show both different graphic techniques and will exceed the limits of graphic media.
The festival receives an Underground motto from Heavens, inviting people to think about the paradoxes and rejections that are an integral part of life. Depending on the theme, the exhibition venues – non-linear or alternative art spaces – from the basement of the library to the upper floor of the Artists House and from the train station tunnel are also selected. The first exhibition of the festival, Glbad Hill, will open at 12 noon at the National Library of Latvia. On the 16th hour, Norwegian artists will be shown in the Hall of the Rooms on the 5th floor of the Union of Latvian Artists on July 17th at Pulksten 17 in the Heavens Underground Tunnel between Satekle and Turgeņeva Street, but at 6 pm at Michelia (Marijas street 13), Kuti Kuš
